It features USB 3.0 connectivity with USB 2.0 backward compatibility, a 1TB capacity, transfer rates up to 136MB/sec, and an all aluminum chassis for efficient heat distribution. The drive is factory formatted with HFS+ with Journaling and is Time Machine ready right out of the box. It's plug-and-play compatible with Mac OS X Leopard 10.6 or later, but it can be reformatted for use with Windows 8, 7, and Vista.
